Reason why I chose to limit the edit period to 10 minutes after post, is so people who give wrong info cannot change it 4 hours after they made it and another member corrected them and now they feel stupid and do not want everyone to know they are stupid. Then threads will not make any sense if one person is correcting another but the original post is corrected after the fact making the person who corrected the other... look silly and crazy.
The 10 time limit is a must. Besides you would want to edit usually directly after you post when you see you have fouled something up and want to fix. That is when editing should occur. The first 10 minutes.
