All visitors, members or not, can now change the appearance of the entire website at the push of a button if they happen to see a theme they prefer over the default theme. I hope this adds a level of engagement and gives the site a more personal interactive feel. We may have a theme design contest down the road if I can organize it right. |

All members that have been here longer than one month can now add tutorials when they wish to. I changed directories a bit and separated my content. The homepage will still feed the latest member added lessons.
There is a section in the main menu labeled "Community Resources" which will now house all tutorial archives added by members. Excluding the course material which is completely separate from everything. Each member's profile also houses all of their latest individual works so people can follow their activity.
I used to judge and jury all material added to the site expecting a level of quality. If the tutorial fell way below that standard it would get removed. Then the amount of people that could add lessons decreased. Then I finally shut it off completely for a week when noticing that much of the material was copied unknowingly or not and placed into the same main sections here. Which is not cool with me. So I separated member works from my works and that is the way we are going to roll.
Point is with the new site structure the site will accept all great and horrible works from anybody willing to put themselves out there. No more jurying material. |
